I have it too, but I hadn’t even noticed the cover by Lynyrd (since I don’t even own one of their albums). But I’ll go listen to it again, given the scandal it causes. Anyway, I think an album by Lydia Lunch WITH a technical solo would suck more than one with a noise cover of “classical” stuff.

Caleb Quaye played with Elton John? I was missing this piece. I'm looking for the individual in question; if he has anything from Jansch or Renbourn, I'd definitely like it.

Damn, what a jungle of the resurrected commenting, so easy! I was listening to it again the other day, I didn't even remember that I saw them live at Velvet in Rimini opening for Nebula, and it was with this nice, acid little record.
Six Organs Of Admittance Asleep On The Floodpain

I had been meaning to start it for months, well done on filling the gap. However, I disagree on many points, especially when you say that this is a "simple" album. Luminous and Shelter are definitely simpler albums (for me, simplicity, whether technical or melodic, has no negative connotation; Luminous was my album of the year in 2009, by the way) than this one. If I can make one note about the always excellent Ben, it's that this is the first album that looks a bit back, interrupting a journey that was leading him from Fahey's dronic raga to an idea of atmospheric psychedelic folk and, why not, pop in the best and broadest sense of the term. Asleep goes back a bit to all the previous production before School Of The >Flower, especially Dark Noontide (without the drones), Compathia (just a bit), and the beautiful Dust & Chimes. However, I can't give Ben less than 4 balls, one of the names worth keeping from the last decade for sure.

I have to say this album has a certain charm, even though in my opinion it has some terrible sounds trying to be dub, unfortunately it reminds me of that hypnotic stuff that I hate. But once I get past that, I do like it as an album. I have no idea what from the 2000s might remain, of the ones you mentioned, maybe just the Radiohead. Oh yeah, perhaps the entire production of Six Organs of Admittance, I'll save that.

I had been planning to do it for ages (since 2004 or so), and I also think it's their best, spontaneous and badass, chapeau!

Well, obviously boredom, but we are in bordering territories that are not exactly identical.
Giuseppe Tornatore Una pura formalità

I would say it's one of Tornatore's best, definitely my favorite.
