The Stooges Funhouse
Voto:
Thanks for the welcome, folks! I just want to tell Mr. Iko that in my opinion, the real Stooges are Funhouse; nothing else compares... I mean, sure, I wanna be your dog and other tracks are cool, but the problem is really John Cale and the "light" touch he gave to the sounds of our band... I don’t think they raised the volumes that much in a year... with a production like Funhouse, the first album would have been another bomb, instead, I think it falls short... to understand what they were like live, you should check out the footage from the Cincinnati pop festival in 1970, where Iggy (always ahead of his contemporaries) jumps into the terrified crowd and sings with the microphone in his mouth... the expressions on people's faces say a lot about the impact... Bye!

The album cover is a plagiarism of the inside of the Funhouse vinyl by the Stooges! As soon as I saw it, I refused to listen to the music...actually, no, unfortunately I heard the single and I said: Cute!....After thirty seconds I was singing that song by Iggy solo....what is it....lust for something......Anyway, I like the Stooges too, but damn, who tells you to try to sell me a mere copy...damn, at least let's rip off riffs from lesser-known people...music history is full of folks who didn't make a dime but maybe had good ideas....meh!?

I hope no one takes my idea seriously.....I remember the Milli for their super flashy look that struck me when I was 11 years old. Ciau

You're right, Giovanni. End of the arguments; it's definitely not a bad album... in fact, I wish the average quality of today's music were at least this good! Bye.

Now I’ll answer your question: rock with psychedelic influences from the 60s and 70s, if you really can’t live without a definition that allows you to catalog your listens. I don’t understand all this anxiety about categorization and especially don’t get why you’re taking it so personally over such a simple critique... I didn’t insult you, beautiful! But I can tell from the tone of your message that you’re a catto-combattente... then I apologize for a word that doesn’t define my I.Q. but that I simply use as a conversational filler, like “fuck” or anything else... I have nothing against something that doesn’t exist... it’s just a habit... if for you that determines intelligence, you’re free to draw your own conclusions. If only these were the problems in life...

Gifted yesterday to a friend of mine.....big mistake because I want the original and now I have to burn it! How cool it would be if there were more bands like this...I mean groups whose average quality per album is so high....I also recommend another not bad Norwegian band that’s always beautifully psychedelic: Seid "Among the Monster Flowers Again" which is hard to find in stores, but Soulseek should have it. Back to Motor, this album should not be paid more than 11.50 guys, that’s the price. Bye!

Shit, I don’t understand a damn thing then... shit again, and what am I supposed to do with my degree if I can’t make sense of this album that has been suffering from dust allergy on my shelves for over 6 years? Joking aside (shit, I just referenced a show for brain-dead people, am I one of them?), I agree on the historical importance of the work but not at all on its ability to withstand the test of time... I like Primal Scream more from Vanishing Point onwards, even though the insights are less innovative... Bye.
