Oh finally a record from the good Spencer! His favorite album along with the following "Now I Got Worry".... I won't talk about Acme because I liked it but I also got tired of it pretty quickly for its attempt to be fashionable... everything that comes before Acme is stratospheric! Live he's always great (now I don't know... I saw them in '97) Good job Iko.

Look, dear, the Stooges are not my favorite band, just to be clear... and I don’t think I ever said they invented anything... if you read my comment on the Funhouse review, I also specify that their first album is a garage record... so I’m aware of the copying that was happening back then... but the problem is that the Jets add NOTHING beyond plagiarism, at least the Stooges sounded like a garage band like Count Five but at volumes unimaginable compared to five years earlier... and while that may not have been a revolution in the broader sense, it did add something... what kind of contribution have the Jets made? I know it’s too early to give a judgment, but the prospects are not bright... I’m glad you mentioned Spirit and the Taurus arpeggio which is IDENTICAL to the Stairway arpeggio... if you remember, in the booklet Randy California talks about a tour where Zeppelin supported Spirit... just coincidences of life, huh?
