Ufomammut Oro - Opus Primum

I heard just yesterday. Interesting, but I'm still on the Snailking side for life. And I agree with you that since Lucifer they've become stuck (though Idolum seemed to me an interesting attempt at change). But who is Urlo? The very tall bald guy? I talked to him a couple of years ago because I was playing records at the opening of an exhibition they had as Malleus in my area, and we talked almost exclusively about Left Lane Cruiser, can you believe it? Anyway, they seemed pretty chill. Caz, enlighten me.

I can't like it as much as the ones that followed; unfortunately, I'm very attached to Forever Changes. Anyway, from what I've read, the "borrowed" riff from Love was that of Interstellar Overdrive, even though both Astronomy and Interstellar don't resemble the riff of Little Red Book very much. Tonight I’ll trace back to the sources and let you know. Hats off and top marks just for the choice.

Hello everyone, they're coming to Italy next week (if I can, I'll go to Rimini on April 18th). Nothing to tear your hair out over, but an interesting little group.

thank you all, if you don't like this cover, buy the vinyl (like I did) which has a different cover: immagine:pontiak_echo_(big).jpg&sa=X&ei
Dr. John The Night Tripper Gris Gris

These days, produced by Dan Auerbach of the Black Keys (who also plays on it), Locked Down is the latest album from Dr. John. Nothing mind-blowing like this, more in line with the canonical blues of his 80's and 90's production, but with some not bad acid hints. In the end, I found this on vinyl in Boston for like $8!! I couldn't believe it.

Good job, pinhead. I only have the Birdmen, but I've listened to them a little and poorly; I've been intending to get into them for a while... but calling Garcia a bloated hippie is a monstrous blasphemy. The Grateful Dead without Garcia are like Kyuss without Josh Homme, just to give a random example. And as much as I love the good old Bo.

I barely managed to get through it... honestly, it pales in comparison to the first two, which are still fresh and beautiful. What a shame.
Zomes Earth Grid

I quite liked the previous one, this one I've downloaded and am still listening to in the queue. However, the previous one didn't seem very electronic to me; it was a continuous layering of stunning guitar loops. Zomes should be a solo act, not a band.
Simon Reynolds Post-Punk 1978-1984

Damn, you've ventured into dangerous territory, considering Reynolds' untouchable aura. So, the book is loved by almost everyone I know, especially those older than me (people who often lived the scene firsthand), but unfortunately, it really doesn't attract me much, simply because I have a hard time digesting wave stuff. I'm not a big fan of what was happening in the UK in the '80s (I'm much more interested in reading about the USA part; what groups does it talk about?), and above all, I have issues after reading Reynolds' statement in which he called Please Kill Me one of the worst books about music (a fool, I thought). Instead, I picked up Retromania, because the topic is much more interesting to me. Has anyone read it yet?

Damn, what have you dug up, the SHADO records!!! I was just listening to the two records I have from our locals Valvola the other day. Now I'll find this and go over it.
