Yes, I also saw it on the shelf at Disco D'Oro at the end of January, if I'm not mistaken. That shelf at 3/5 € is great; whenever I'm in Bologna, I always stop by. But last time I discovered a small shop called Transformer, not bad at all.

I've always had a conflicted relationship with the Duke. In the sense that he was one of my first listens, thanks to my older sister who had the records and who saw him during the Glass Spider Tour in '87, if I remember correctly. Until I was 14, I was obsessed, but I only had Changesbowie. Then, after listening to heavy music (from the Zeppelins, to Sabbath to Nirvana, and so on), I increasingly set Bowie aside. So, for many (even too many) years, he remained fundamentally an artist I loved but whose songs and a few albums I only knew, and I didn't even love those, like Ziggy Stardust. Anyway, for decades, I only liked the tracks from the early period, roughly before Young Americans, a bit like I mistakenly thought of the Stones, for whom personally, they ended with Beggars (can you believe how silly I was!). After too many years, I finally started listening to everything up until Lodger... and I called myself silly for a good month. This is my favorite of the Berlin trilogy. Anyway, it's precisely those albums I didn't know that make Bowie, Bowie, no doubt about it.

So it's just the two of us who have those comics. I even went to find them in Bologna, those from Granata Press. I have basically everything they published until the transition to Kappa Edizioni and then Marvel, but already around '97 I stopped buying manga because I hated the emerging manga maniacs (I had a bunch of them at Ca' Foscari).

This Orientalist trend of K-pop would have delighted Edward Said. Personally, this interest, fundamentally amplified beyond measure after Pitchfork and similar magazines, tired of only talking about Kanye West and the worst R&B, began to explore what could sound “exotic but not too much.” Japan had already provided this in the mid to late 90s; fertile ground was needed. Et voilà, K-Pop. Speaking of the music, I’m even more baffled. I mean, we’re talking about the Korean version of Japanese boy bands from 20 years ago, which in turn were copies of UK or US boy bands. A huge meh...

Look, I experienced it, or rather I endured it, and there’s really nothing to be nostalgic about. Well, everyone’s childhood and adolescence naturally lead to nostalgia, but nostalgia doesn’t magically turn shitty music into beautiful music. That’s the whole problem. I’ll skip over the press release and the glaring mistakes (“unrestrained” really?)

Wow, arteriosclerosis, in the aforementioned comment from 2006 I wrote the same thing... should I be worried? Anyway, if you look there are both "sfascia" and "tia" in the comments.

Oh guys, while I’m a big fan of Kaleidoscope USA, and I have many friends who over the years have recommended the Campers to me, unfortunately, the spark has never ignited. But I remember I only had this. So should I dive into the first three?

Am I part of the hauntological crowd? I think I should have something on some old HD. In that vein, the only thing I’ve acquired is the collaboration between Broadcast and Focus Group, which I think you might like.
