Finally, someone has filled the gap; I had started one back in 2005... well done, and I'm sorry for the stroke to Mcphee, a great guitarist.
The Velvet Underground Live at Valleydale Ballroom

But isn't this the live recording recently found on some acetates at a stall in NY? If it is, historical value: 10.0000/5; sound quality value 0/5. I'd rather imagine them than hear this stuff here. Provided it’s what I heard.

But come on, all these years I had never commented on Disco VOlante???? 5 balls +, every now and then I put on Desert Search For Techno Allah to dance to it with my daughter.
Lift to Experience The Texas-Jerusalem Crossroads
Voto:
extremely snubbed at the time of its release, then picked up and bought sight unseen a couple of years ago.....potentially my cup of tea, and yet it left me quite perplexed, there were nice moments but overall it was a bit of a boring listen. Perhaps it's my lifelong aversion to any religion...
Roy Harper Man & Myth
Voto:
It seems to me that this album was produced by Jonathan Wilson. Like Lao, I still haven’t shamefully listened to it, thanks for reminding me to download it... and for making me stop reading a review after three paragraphs, I haven't done that since 2008 or something.
Midlake Antiphon

Trials remains the favorite, the next one was a bit of a letdown, so I had snubbed this one too. Big mistake, because this album is actually quite nice. They would even be playing in Milan tomorrow, but I can't make it, damn it.
Marcos Valle Garra
Voto:
Come on, man, I know Marcos Valle too, don’t tell me nobody in Brazil mentions him?? Garra is beautiful, I really like Previsao do Tempo, which is how I got to know him about a year ago (before, I only knew the Tropicalists).
John Campbell Howlin Mercy
Voto:
Discovered here on Debaser about 10 years ago, and bought shortly after in Tokyo. Nothing to say, hats off to the review and to Campbell (actually, check out the live on Videomusic from '93).

A love of mine from the discovery of the 60's, now about 10 years ago, as per the review I wrote back then on debasio!
Califone All My Friends Are Funeral Singers
Voto:
Nice return Fest, I hope it’s not sporadic. The Califone never explored, seen live in my city about ten years ago now (and they’ve come back around my area in November if I’m not mistaken).
