Neutral Milk Hotel In The Aeroplane Over The Sea
Voto:
Very nice album, it reminds me of my Tokyo life 11 years ago. But Workhorse is right, it’s unclear why, but it has become a cult album for an impressive generation of losers. You just had to be at the concert at Beaches Brew last summer. I wanted to hit half the audience. But the next day I had breakfast with Mangum at the hotel (he's quite a character too).

My favorite from Ash Ra, which I recently purchased by the way. Freak'n'roll is THE paradigmatic track by Ash Ra.

I would say that the last five years have only been a lackluster prischedelia, thus inspired by shoegaze. The previous five years, regarding psychedelia, were definitely better.
Hayao Miyazaki Si Alza il Vento
Voto:
I still have to see it; there are only beautiful words about Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli. And that has always been the case. I still remember when I saw Nausicaa on Raidue in '84/'85 and I was blown away. Sorry Survivor, but you could have taken some time to reread it; as it is, it's really not great.
Benjamin Clementine At Least For Now

I accidentally heard about Ghiaccio Bollente while flipping channels. I gifted the album to my partner. The voice is beautiful, very beautiful, but I’m a bit perplexed by some of the arrangements with the electronic drums that dull everything. With a warmer sound, specifically a soulful one, it would have been excellent. For me, obviously.
Kamasi Washington The Epic

Wait, my version is 171 minutes long, so three hours! What can I say, it’s a nice little guide to easy jazz and even less, but never insurmountable. Obviously, those who are well-versed in the subject (not me) won’t find much use for it, but for others, it's a great listen.

I've always felt a bit off and out of place in the '90s, almost witnessing my own demise live in Palestrina in '99 (I was heading to the festival for the QOTSA), then this winter my partner and I decided to fill that gap. Good, I miss it for now, so I’ll make up for it soon.

I was about to do it, nice job beating me to it, nes, also because, like at Fest, the album doesn't blow me away. In November, I saw Chasny live and we spent the evening drinking, and he explained to me (even though we were half-drunk) the theory behind the album, so I was really curious. I agree, I'll dive into Comets On Fire and enjoy it more. Ah, by the way, he told me that the new Comets is already recorded and everything, recorded with him and the whole band, but they want to release it as a surprise (if they find someone to publish it). Anyway, Fushitsusha at full speed, he's got a huge fixation on Haino, but I opened up a whole new world for him when I told him how to pronounce half of the Japanoizu bands that he was massacring the names of.
Alice in Chains Jar of Flies

One of the albums of my life, bought two years after its release, but worn out since that winter of '94, the soundtrack of my 18 years, of the joys and especially of the teenage heartbreaks.
In Zaire White Sun Black Sun

I remembered that I had neither heard it nor bought it, and I desperately wanted to do both.
