The Gentlemens are dear friends, do you like them? Back in the '90s, there was some good stuff at Taun, but unfortunately, I never managed to go there.
The Von Bondies Lack of Communication

Back in the famous days when the singer got seriously beaten by Jack White (but that was in 2004, if I'm not mistaken). I think I had the album after this one, which I’m quite fond of, but it’s too polished to be considered garage.

Oh, I will be a debaser by nature, but I prefer to be a laughing stock.

She got ahead of me, I was planning to send it shortly. I share the review and the rating. And thanks for the citation 😉
Pink Floyd The Early Years 1967–1972 Cre/ation
Voto:
The foundation of my musical education, especially since until just a few years ago my Floyd collection didn't go beyond 1972. I got to know them thanks to A Nice Pair, the LP edition of the first two albums. I was about to shell out the cash for the mephitic box set, but I thought better of it. Now I'm slowly buying the separate volumes, but not all of them; the best ones remain 1968-1969-1970. You're right that these days there's nothing left to dig up on the Floyd, but personally, if I can get a decent audio version of what usually appeared as bootlegs, I'm willing to invest some money. It's a shame that the elusive live recording from Stockholm in '67 remains with terrible audio quality, or rather completely without vocals. Unfortunately, the sacred Barrettian Grail remains an utopia.

Brad Pitt smoking a bong with Soundgarden's "Outshined" playing in the background is worth the film and brings back a lot of memories. Arquette still looks great, just like the rest of the family.
Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention Absolutely Free

One of the Zappa albums I'm most familiar with, brilliant, chaotic, accessible, and without too many instrumental digressions. The Zappa I prefer. One doubt: are you sure it's the first rock opera? If I'm not mistaken, the first one was s.f. Sorrow by the Pretty Things.

No, but I'm in Romagna on Friday and I could end up there.
Father John Misty Pure Comedy

An unbearable character, first of all. Then the previous album is one of the worst cases of a complete critical misfire from the American press that I can remember. As if it were Elliot Smith come back to life. If this is in line with Honeybear, I'm not even going to waste my time.

Thank you, you reminded me that I never sent this last year. Nice review, and I agree with our soul man. Additionally, he collaborates with his mentor Ben Chasny in the latest Six Organs Of Admittance.
