I never had the courage to review it, but it was a cult album among us Japanophiles at university. Thanks to/due to the book Sol Mutante by Gomarasca and Valtorta that came out in '95 and was for years one of the few accounts of that delirious scene that was Japanoizu in the mid-80s to mid-90s. But if I remember correctly, wasn't it done years ago? Anyway, calling a band "Vomito-diarrea-conati di vomito" is already genius.

A cult film of post-adolescence, but it’s been at least 15 years since I last saw it. The review is really nice.

Always been fascinated by library music, probably influenced by having crossed the threshold of 40. It seems a bit like the effect of jazz, stereotypically associated with the first signs of aging. Indeed, I have been gradually educating myself about jazz for a couple of years now. I know a bit about Anglo-Saxon library music, but nothing French. I will delve deeper. I really appreciate the essentiality of the review, a rare commodity these days on the internet and on deb.

It's been since the previous review of amen (I think Fest did it) that I haven't listened to it again. I remember how it made my synapses sizzle, but it's something I now listen to in small doses.

It's always made me want to shit myself since the days of house arrest, or maybe even before. So we'll have to try again.

I slightly prefer the second one, but both are magnificent and crazy records. Patafisically crazy. Who knows what they would have been if Ayers had stayed but, above all, if Daevid Allen hadn't been stuck in France due to passport issues. I believe there’s a recording at the UFO club of the early Soft on YouTube.

I was just remembering the other day to revisit this album, and I distinctly remembered your Fest! review. I still hold the same opinion I had 10 years ago. Akuma, the badass split with Kurihara, and this. The rest is just a washout.

Up to Rubber Factory, one of my favorite bands. Then highs and lows, but as a producer, Auerbach is always good. Just think about Dr. John's album.

I don't know, for now it seems worse than the previous one, which in the end had some great tracks. However, saying that it’s even the most cohesive after Song for the Deaf (which, for me, was never the peak of the band, that remains the first and second album) seems a bit exaggerated. Given Mark Ronson's expression, I was expecting worse in terms of sound.

In small doses, I like them too, I have this is our music. In fact, I’ll dust it off at this point.
