I was about to write a couple of lines about it tonight, good for you to fill the gap. Great relaxed record between two bands I love (Woods) and used to love (Dungen).

Madonna, already 10 years? This is an album I listen to at least 3 or 4 times a year, strictly in the car at indecorous volumes.

Well, crushed by the entire anglophone press, praised almost excessively by us. Personally, it’s not the crap I was reading everywhere (to be honest, I’ve only been reading foreign magazines for years), but it's not a masterpiece either. It's a halfway album, with some nice ideas and a few things that just didn’t turn out well. For now, Lazzaretto can't even see it with binoculars.

Chapeau, I wouldn't have been able to be that harsh myself :) Besides, the first two I like, I don't think I've ever even heard the third one. More than anything, it strikes me this sort of cult for a derivative band (like many others, mind you, it's been twenty years since there's been any evolutionary leap in "rock") that just broke up and is already back with a reunion? I mean, what the hell is this, Interstellar? Does time no longer mean anything? I can understand reunions of bands that broke up 25 years ago, but now it's bordering on ridiculous. I don't know if they're mocking us or if people have shorter memories than a PC's temp files.

Oh, but aside from "tempesta di cazzo," does anyone else feel like recommending Folkjokeopus as well? In fact, I like it more than Stormcock...

I'm strangely enjoying it, light, percussive, and psychedelic. Tonight I'm seeing them live, then I'll let you know.

I don't know, I think you all have too much anxiety about judgment. Unfortunately, this, like many other Oneida albums, requires a lot of listening to be absorbed (and since it’s two sets long, many people, myself included, have listened to the romance many times, considering the length). For now, I'm holding my judgment, because even though superficially after a few listens it seems like an impenetrable mass, it hints at different solutions compared to the past, and it could actually be an interesting album. I hope to find time to dedicate to it in the coming months.

You preceded me as usual. I would have been much harsher. The previous one was an album I liked at first, but now it's a skeleton in my musical closet; I praised it too highly, it immediately deflated, and at the concert in Bologna, I fell asleep dramatically as well. This is objectively an album I would be ashamed to release. Everything that's wrong with so-called rock music these days. The obnoxious return to shitty '80s rock sounds already started by the hated War on Drugs taken to the most terrible and extreme consequences. The idea of rock sound that a former successful artist from the '70s might have in the '80s is all wrong (there's even a horrible saxophone that pops up now and then). One note below: please pay attention, especially coming from a Neapolitan. These are terms from those fucking Milanese types, and every time someone uses them, a piece of the Accademia della Crusca falls to the ground with a loud crash.

Fuzz Club Records has secured their services in Europe, so the upcoming records (which we hope will be released soon) will have better distribution and reasonable prices.
