Instead, justice has many elements of prog: long tracks without a rigid structure, with subsections, featuring different rhythmic and structural elements even within the same piece. Sudden changes in rhythm, evolution of concepts, abandonment of improvisation, a lot, a lot of technique, ending with hints of blues or jazz.

Yes, but there's no need to nitpick; CoB are fundamentally a band that plays death metal. The fact that there are elements of power, prog, black, or thrash is another matter. Even Radiohead have been prog, as well as early Queen, or Death on The Sound of Perseverance, or even Metallica back in the days of …And Justice for All.

Well, at this point, it's really just a matter of personal taste. :)

Yes, I consider it more mature. Something Wild is as beautiful as it is incomplete. And in any case, the production is better (but after all, SW was the first album).

It's a real shame that he uses his talent for these "songs" that are worth nothing. I mean, he has a piano diploma from the conservatory, and he's certainly not musically stupid. Maybe a bit of a short review.

I also really like Hate Crew, a lot, and it was the first album I listened to by Bodom. However, I find it inferior to this one for the simple reason that it's a midway point between the old and the new COB. Great ideas, but developed, I wouldn't say poorly, but not fully.
In my opinion, this album is much more complete than the previous ones (except for Hatebreeder).
You can't really compare it to Death because they are too different. Death was all about technique and little melody, much more progressive than Bodom, and the themes were different as well.
And anyway, I still don't see anything at all in Nu-metal.
