Dream Theater Images and words
Voto:
In moments like these, I’m ashamed to be a fan of Dream Theater. By the way, the album is THE best in their discography. The comparison with SOAD is ridiculous. And enough with this nonsense like "the best band out there," "put a fucking thing in your mouth," "magnificent," "fabulous," please stop. They might be good, they are good, but they really didn’t invent a damn thing.

I wouldn't know what to tell you, frasco: I certainly haven't listened to the album just once. I'll try to focus more on attws.

Evidently, you didn’t understand. I quote verbatim from my review: "Clearly in order not to create a 'Nightfall 2', Hansi Kursch's band has taken a step longer than their leg can handle." This doesn’t mean they didn’t put in effort; on the contrary. The album is technically exquisite. No one is questioning that the band is talented or whether it creates an epic atmosphere. In fact, I will tell you that I see epic metal as a hallmark of the B-G; the rest is just vulgar imitation. However, one cannot say that it is a good work; that, it is not. And the reasons are all in the review. To your good understanding.

If I were tied to metal itself, I would have denigrated any work after "Imaginations." With this one, they really dropped the ball, and I’m not afraid to say it. It was probably what Hansi wanted, but whether it's the right path is a whole other matter. And I don’t even expect the usual reheated dish, as I would have criticized a hypothetical album that copies Nightfall anyway.

Honestly, I’ve never seen anything that would make me think otherwise. The drumming in Queen (especially in the later albums) has never been anything special. In the earlier works, maybe he put in a bit more effort, but he definitely softened up towards the end. Perhaps I exaggerated by calling it mediocre; he’s a drummer like many others.

Fabu-lous disco.
Dimmu Borgir For All Tid

Dimmu don't do melodic death. It's symphonic black. I haven't listened to the album yet, I'll remedy that.

But it wasn't that his voice was terrible. "Long Away," "'39," "Some Day One Day," and "Sleeping On The Sidewalk" wouldn't have been the same if Mercury had sung them. It's just that he isn't suited to sing Mercury.
