Hansi doesn't sing a single second without backing vocals. Boring. Boring like few others.

It's not that the bass isn't heard. It's that it's totally covered by the guitars, something that Hetfield himself wanted as far as I know. He wanted to create a "wall" of guitars that covered everything. In this sense, the production kind of sucks, but the album is the best recorded one, at least among the first.

It's not boring at all. Perhaps it's a bit cold, being much more technical and calculated than the previous ones. But it doesn't bore me. I listen to it in one breath, and when it ends, it's always too soon. I agree that at this point they had already said everything, but it remains a gem.
