@geeno: from your lofty wisdom, you didn't realize that I was referring to the song "Cigarettes And Alcohol." Which showcases the complexity of the lyrics of this fantastic band.

And then the live Oasis suck like constipated people with a cork up their ass. In familiar to millions they do Wonderwall with distorted guitars as if they were Led Zeppelin in ’72. Ridiculous, ridiculous.

But it's not just about the four chords. In that case, even Smoke On The Water would be a colossal nonsense. It's just that they can't even manage four chords :D I mean, they're so anonymous that even Guccini gets you hyped more. They've been doing the same things for 15 years; they're constantly plagiarizing themselves and vulgar imitating the Beatles, whom they DESPERATELY want to resemble. They keep going because they've made a name for themselves and because MTV keeps playing their stuff. Not to mention the millions of scandals they get involved in. I don't listen to "modern" music, I repeat. But there are millions of bands who wouldn't even acknowledge Oasis.

Oasis are not really better than anything, they only saved themselves with the first album and the second one just a bit. The rest is crap. Crap. Stuff for kids. Stuff that's good for learning 4 guitar chords. Listen to Radiohead, REM, Sigur Rós, who are all contemporaries of Oasis but they put them in their pocket. And I've said just a few because I listen to very little new music, but certainly, I’m not going to say that it’s all crap, and I certainly don't take what's on MTV as a benchmark. And I'm 17 years old.
