From what you say, it makes no sense at all. I’m not a die-hard fan who praises everything; I recognize that Queen has had its ups and downs, and I acknowledge that Taylor and Deacon are not exactly monsters, but May is a great guitarist. The sound of his Red Special is uniquely his. And there’s no arguing about that. Also, in Queen, it wasn’t just Freddie who wrote; all four of them contributed, which is why every album features so many different styles. Queen’s sound is one that you recognize immediately, right from the first note.
