I have Sound of Confusion and Perfect Prescription on TAANG!. The rest I have on SpaceAge, which if I'm not mistaken is the label run by Sonic Boom that remastered all their albums, including Taking Drugs... which in the new edition has a white background cover. In short, there's a big mess of reissues, remasterings, etc. More or less what they did with some songs, released in various versions to the point that you can no longer tell which is the original (MaryAnn or Hey Man, the latter even took the title of Amen, among many others). The SpaceAge catalog isn't bad; it obviously includes all the bands from Sonic Boom, and I picked up Phenomena 256 by Experimental Audio Research there.

Indeed, what a ugly end they have come to. And to think that in this album with its multiple inspirations (the latent psychedelia of certain tracks like Novena Without Faith, the "hardcore fury" that has softened over time) there was a good promise, but after the success of Source Tags And Codes, it was a collapse. The last album, then, made me shit the entire catalog of IKEA bathroom cabinets. Already assembled.

I'm nostalgic for Spacemen 3 as well; they have the same effect on me as they do on you. I don’t listen to them often, yet every time I put on one of their records, I get lost in it, with my mouth a bit numb and my incisors asleep, and for that hour, nothing else exists. I've only listened to (and enjoyed) Soul Kiss and High Lows and Heavenly Blows by Spectrum before they met Captain Memphis. I have this one but I've only listened to it once; I’ll revisit it.

I liked it at first listen and it keeps growing more and more each time. In the third part of the album, the rhythm seems like Neu!. I'm enjoying this drummer. Great review, Alessio, I completely agree with the opening.

beautiful. and dark. The trio "Tonight's A Jewel," "Pale Rider Blues," and "Ghosts of Here and There" knocked me out.

damn it, I’ll never be able to listen to this, after hearing the sample one of my ears fell off and I spent 3 minutes with my eyes crossed. But I still love you.
