A group I promised myself to listen to over and over again, but I never keep my promises, a bunch of slackers. I have Psychic Psummer in some corner of my pc still to enjoy, downloaded thanks to your review... I like you in this version Gualtiero Marchesi :)... Saludos.

no no Twice I really like it, it’s the coincidence of having Tom Barman and Greg Dulli singing it together that overwhelmed me with memories. But let’s change the subject...Ghosts is nice come on! It keeps that cheeky vibe of the "new" dEUS that annoys me a bit, but I like it.

The first song I listened to, streaming, was the title track... and I thought: damn, we’re here! Barman's pompous showmanship is still there, but at least the talent for writing good songs re-emerges, a talent that seemed to have been lost in the previous album. Then, I agree there are some horrible tracks that are the price to pay with the new (well, by now they’re on the third album) line-up. And I’ll tell you, I like Ghosts! Just like I love Twice... even though that Greg Dulli singing alongside the Barista hurts me like a knife wound to an old injury that still hasn’t healed and never will. Of course, we’re in the early listens and probably the album won’t stand the test of time, but I expected muuuuuch worse. Time permitting, I’ll try to be at Estragon in Bologna on December 7th; if anyone's around, give me a shout: there's a beer waiting for you :). Bye, big potatoes!

Oh psycho, I just wanted to say that this album is really great. Thanks, I think I'll buy it.
Spacemen 3 Playing With Fire

I had lost this review; at least it does some justice to the phenomenal album of the space men, I remember the other one being a half disaster. Good. Personally, I've never quite understood whether I like this one more or Perfect Prescription. In doubt... I won’t question it anymore, both are fantastic. Sound of Confusion too (as well as Take Drugs etc etc..), but still immature in my opinion... or rather... a bit impersonal. In the two albums mentioned earlier lies the essence of Spacemen 3, the sublimation of their music. As Messer Psycho rightly says, "when they were really on fire"... well: here they are overwhelmed. I remember perfectly that often, after a "heavy" night with my friends, when I still had fuzz on my ass, I would go home and listen to this album on headphones, and the 'reverb' of "How Does It Feel" would make me unconsciously shift my eyes left and right... left and right... and Sonic Boom's voice, in his slow and measured speech, would lead me into the monkey tunnel. I finally found the EP Transparent Radiation (on Fire Records), even on vinyl, just a few days ago. Now, as a true sick collector, I’d say I have everything by these spaced-out guys.

Thank you for the trust you place in my intuition and the cleverness that has distinguished me since I was born... but really, if I’m asking you, it’s because I didn’t understand what you were referring to. In any case, if you don’t feel like telling me, it’s fine, I still appreciated that nonsensical phrase thrown in there ;) Best regards.

Fosca, this is definitely a great record to discover... in my humble opinion, it's their peak alongside Domestic Wildlife from 2006. But their entire discography deserves a listen. Amico nes, what's off?

I don't know it at all, so great advice, I'll check it out. The tracks in the links sound promising and remind me a lot of Spacemen 3... Sunset, on the other hand, seems like a Revolution reprise, but still enjoyable. Good good, let's see... Best regards, Mastro Psycho! P.S. In the Sonic Boom link, you've posted a photo of Jason Pierce; I don't know how Pete Kember would take it :D
