It's not a question of lyrics... Rino was nonconformist in everything... of course, those I call "serious" singer-songwriters were in some cases also poets. I could never compare the lyrics of DEANDRÉ with those of GAETANO. It was his way of being and presenting himself that made him UNIQUE among the singer-songwriters of the time. Musically, however, we must not overlook his ability to blend different genres such as ROCK, REGGAE, LATIN, and folk.

Does he know all of Springsteen's albums?
Has he ever seen Springsteen live?
I doubt it, from what he’s written...
Anyway, the album should be taken for what it is, a collection of covers of old folk and traditional songs done in the style of Springsteen; since they are not his original songs, it’s hard to draw comparisons with his older albums.
