Ian Hunter Man Overboard

x JOHANNESULVER: I meant in terms of popularity. You would agree with me that not many people care about Hunter as a solo artist...

x ALIA76...why? From someone who reviews Loretta Goggi (with all due respect, we should have artists like her on TV today)????

The beautiful thing, anyway, is that Metallica, Testament, Anthrax, Megadeth, Slayer, Exodus are all different entities... something that nowadays, with the young bands, is hard to find. So let's honor the Thrash scene of the eighties... not forgetting secondary names like Forbidden, Sacred Reich, Death Angel, Vio-lence, Overkill, Annihilator, Flotsam & Jetsam, Nuclear Assault... as ANATAS says... great moments.

Ok. But their debt to AC/DC is so high... that in the end you put on Young and company and good night. I was hoping they would have a bit more of their own personality, but in the end, it feels like listening to a cover band. They disappointed me with "Runnin' wild." At this point, we have to hope that for the second round they bring a little more of themselves; otherwise, I don't see a great future, at least until the Originals hold strong.

For AVENGER: what do you mean by a notch above? Surely Anthrax have aged better, continuing to make diverse and modern records that are honest, without needing to chase the past and recycle old ideas like what was done on Death Magnetic or United Abominations. The difference is that when it was necessary to change, Metallica and Megadeth produced rather mediocre albums (Load) or even terrible ones (Reload, St. Anger, or Risk), even going so far as to deny their past only to later change their minds (true, Mr. Ulrich?). That said, this doesn't take away from the fact that they have created authentic masterpieces of Thrash metal. At this point, long live the consistency of Slayer!!!

For ANATAS: no, it’s not a best of but a collection of unreleased tracks, covers, and live songs. Sure, it might be overlooked, but I repeat, it’s very enjoyable... to listen to without any commitment.

I wouldn't go see a current U2 concert even for free... it's not about the 80 euros... I spend just as much on Springsteen but it's a completely different thing (those who have seen Springsteen at least once in their lives know what I mean). Now I'm going to listen to the latest from Ian Hunter "Man Overboard" (album of the week), at least there the rock is still healthy and alive...
