Beautiful is the post from the usually very critical Punisher who "quickly downloads and watches some sequences." Hats off. As usual, plenty of talk and few facts. I preface that I saw the film the day before yesterday in a cinema in London... I’m reading the book, but the fear of missing it on the big screen (and having read here that it won’t be distributed in Italy) pushed me to do something I generally avoid: watching the film before/during the reading of the book. Good luck to the pedantic Puni; I believe that the dialogues (which are, to be honest, very rare) are not the main prerogative of the film. The atmospheres, characters, and apocalyptic landscapes are rendered with great effectiveness; they are just as I had imagined them between the lines of the book. The sense of inescapable anguish for a world devastated by something that will never be explained (the kind of stuff that makes you want to smash your head against a wall) and the lack of prospects, other than walking roads worthy of the worst hell and heading "south," is suffocating. The performances of the actors, including the child, are very credible and only amplify the viewer's unease. Enk's review (welcome back dear, where have you been? When are we going to see the Eels in concert?) finds me largely in agreement. It’s a desperate and despairing film, even if it obviously can’t have the conceptual, spatial, spiritual, and verbal "depth" of the book. Personally, I don't find much enjoyment in reading such dreadful stories, no matter how rich in reflections on humanity in the face of catastrophic events and the fear of a future that doesn't exist: survival instinct, suicidal impulses, selfishness, cannibalism. I find it a bit voyeuristic and self-indulgent. I need to finish the book to get the complete picture (and I will let you know dear Odra: did you see that I kept my promise?). But I must say that I spent two intense hours that did not leave me indifferent at all, even when, back in the London drizzle, I started to digest them. It will take a while. Well done Enk, anyway.

Still with this story of "without knowing me"... it’s coming from the one who called me a fool and absurd as soon as I made a criticism of his "elevated and profound" reviews. It’s coming from the one who, when faced with pressing criticism, pulls out nonsensical jokes (embarrassing, to be honest) to divert or cut off the discussion. It’s the same person who every time he’s in a bit of trouble counts the number of reviews he’s submitted as if they were a measure of his hypothetical reviewing talent, his wit, originality, and irony. Please… I don’t know who’s behind these concerning/hilarious/pathetic comments signed Punisher (and the plethora of discarded and non-disguised fake accounts), and I must say that, besides not allowing myself to judge him, I couldn't care less. I only express opinions on what you write. I feel free to do so because it’s in the nature of this beautiful site: I assure you that reading comments like your last one is something crazy! You reprimand others for what you do every time someone, instead of flattering you, makes any kind of criticism. Wow...

Is it possible that this page will finally clarify what "parapsychology related to suspensions of the fear of the unconscious" means? I am hopeful; I've been pondering this for years now. And I am not the only one!

Regardless of the insults... here between Puni and the usual boring-boriosetto Mien, there’s the Sagra del Chihailcazzopiùduro on Debaser... I quote, I must quote: <<BILQUIS: you haven't proven anything yet here... I have shown that I can range from idiotic and ridiculous reviews to elevated and substantial ones (even with other nicknames). You, on the other hand, just chatter. You just chatter.>>. You forget the pathetic plagiarism for which you have been mocked in public square. This arrogance is truly pathetic. Happy 2010 to everyone. It’s starting off quite well!

Damn, I didn't understand if I need to get high to feel it or if feeling it will be like getting high. Just to be safe, I'm getting high. Farting, of course.

"They're attacking me for no reason." You’re not well, my boy. I read your reviews and I comment on them too. Then I also comment on your whiny behavior. And I receive monosyllabic responses and insults in return. Don’t twist reality to your liking; this low-grade victimhood makes you even more pathetic. "But have you ever done a little self-reflection when judging people you don’t know?" Coming from you, who carelessly calls others stupid, insane, and fools, it's phenomenal. You should feel a bit ashamed, Punisher of my boots. For Christmas, ask Santa Claus for a bit of dignity, okay?

Here it is. The gratuitous insult has arrived. I'll say it again, I show up on your reviews whenever I feel like it, I write what I think whenever I feel like it, and you certainly won't be the one to tell me where I should be or where I should go. Secondly, your behavior is pathetic because everything that doesn't align with your opinion clearly gets under your skin, and that's been evident for a long time. Great way to engage in a community, congratulations. Thirdly, I certainly won't sit here and get insulted aggartis by a little brat like you. Speak up if you have some arguments; otherwise, for emitting guttural noises like that, just be quiet. Or better yet, keep your little fingers to yourself. You'd make a better impression.

It's a lost battle, Geb. The kid is a bit too vain and pompous. As you can see, he has to boast and show off his musical choices, what he’s done, what he’s written, the comments he’s received...bla, bla, bla! For the rest, only bile and nonsensical answers as a convenient escape in the face of limited topics to throw around. Let’s go set our farts on fire elsewhere, come on. Now that the homepage has changed, fewer comments on Puni's recipes (which will annoy him a bit) and more innovative insights for everyone. PRUT!
