The review isn't badly written, quite the opposite... but the final track by track gives me that anxiety I feel under the duvet when I realize I'm about to let out a morning sigh and I wonder if what's pressing is just air. It's an album I've long awaited as well, and for various reasons, it has pleasantly lingered in my ears after countless listens. It certainly doesn't have the depth of other works by Dire Straits, but as you say, it's a respectable farewell for those like me who suffer from goodbyes. I remember that On Every Street was played every time Magic Johnson's HIV status was discussed. Incredible, Piccinini would say.
