I didn't really like the review. What I think needed to be said was about the emotional side of the album, which perhaps was your intention, but you started off on the wrong foot with the "truth" discussion. The beauty of this album is the atmosphere it creates in its minimalism: sad, oppressive, funereal, monochord, and relentless. Adjectives that don't really bring much hope or encouragement to listen. But if inside you feel the same way, then they take on a whole different value. And, as we know, music can be an excellent companion for one's state of mind.

I do not agree with you about the 80s, or at least, I partially share your opinion. However, I understand what you mean. Indeed, grunge, after punk, was probably one of the genres capable of moving the masses in the truest sense of the word, especially for those who were of the right age at the time. Heartfelt review.
