So just say that you're doing it on purpose!!! Well, at least this one is rich in details, if nothing else.

My comment about being "on a pedestal" was of a general nature and not directed specifically at you; it's clear that I don't know you, and as far as I'm concerned, you might even play better than me.

This "if I wanted to" leaves me puzzled justice... I would step down from the pedestal for a moment, I would like to know how many of you are actually capable of playing (without missing a note) solos of the caliber of Damage Inc., Master of Puppets, or Dyers Eve. Hammett may not have been overly technical (but then what the hell does technique mean?! can anyone give me a precise definition?) his solos were often rooted in blues/pentatonic, but he has always been damn fast, which is not something everyone can do. It's clear that there are those who surpass him, but we're still talking about records that date back more than 20 years, and at the time Kirk was just over twenty, so, do the math...

Thank you for the numbers, which wheel do you recommend I play them on?

If we come up with some good numbers, we’ll go play them, alright?

Bisius is right, but not so much about the multiple duplicates, but about what’s written. 1-) What’s original about the chorus (if we can call it that) of FFWF? It’s one of those typical choruses of the genre: zero melody. 2-) Those who have ears to hear will realize that there are overdubs, and Cliff's bass doesn't seem to stand alone in the situations you described. 3-) I don't think Hammet ever recorded a rhythmic part before arriving at Load; he has always limited himself to recording the guitar solos. 5-) It’s true that all modern metal is somehow indebted to the Bay Area. But to say that Megadeth and Pantera drew inspiration from RTL seems absurd to me: the former because they built the genre along with Metallica (it’s no coincidence that Mustaine is credited as a songwriter here too; did he then self-inspire?!) and the latter because they proposed something very different from traditional Bay Area thrash. The album is a classic: take it or leave it, no fuss. And then, it’s often said that Metallica aren’t technical monsters, but "bassists like Cliff don't exist anymore" – something doesn’t add up here... On Kill 'Em All, there's even a song exclusively played with bass using tapping and wah-wah ("Anesthesia...") – far from dominating here. A song like that already spoke volumes about the caliber of the musician he was. Regards.

Well, looking at your photo, it's clear that you're a tough one... Anyway, the movie isn't that bad. Too bad for your boyfriend who didn't understand what you wanted to do that night... :->
