Siamese Dream is from 1993 (it was released in the summer if I'm not mistaken), Just for a Day by Slowdive is from 1991, and Souvlaki, which by the way is my favorite, is from 1993. I don't know if Corgan ever listened to Just for a Day.

There are neither heroes nor anti-heroes in the music of MBV; in the music of the Pumpkins, however, there are. Therefore, the term epic is exclusive in this case to the Pumpkins. In My Bloody Valentine, the fundamental and revolutionary aspect is the sound, even more revolutionary than that of JMC. The MBV were concerned with how to say something rather than what to say, in my opinion. In short, I believe that MBV and the Pumpkins are not comparable because there’s no common ground for comparison; they exist on two different planes. You could compare MBV with Slowdive and make a decision, for example, but comparing them to the Pumpkins would do a disservice to both groups. I’ve always hated fanaticism from both sides.

epic from the Garzanti dictionary: heroic poetry, epic, epos, heroic, grandiose, legendary, I didn’t find seminal, maybe because it doesn’t have a damn thing to do with the term epic?? hehe, hey guys don’t take it too seriously, we’re in a virtual context, taking 2 steps back after making a fool of yourself isn’t done in real life let alone in the virtual world.

I agree with every single tremor of easycure; they may not have been as seminal as My Bloody Valentine or the Pixies, but the visionary Corganian flair in merging a baroque style that's at times melancholic, at times angry, and at times decadent, yet never self-indulgent, is undeniable. It brings together elements of prog, pop-wave, hardcore, metal, radio rock, grunge rock, symphonic pop, acoustic ballads, and dream pop (cupid de locke).

I quote Tessio, you have to give Caesar what belongs to Caesar, even when Caesar is part of the so-called mainstream. The move Corgan made was more of an indie scene type; he was a rare visionary. It's a pity how he has ended up today, and I'm also concerned about what they will produce soon.

still with this nonsense that Corgan was that child??? come on, they call it urban legends, only idiots fall for it, come on, regarding the insinuation about the price of the double NGW you really missed the mark again, Corgan had artistic courage to release a double album at a reduced price and took on a great responsibility because if he had failed who knows how the record label would have reacted, and instead it went as we know, bet won, nowadays in mainstream rock few have the courage of Corgan. Nothing but nonsense.
