the album is good...great debut...but 5 stars seem excessive to me....I don’t think anyone would be offended if I say that I AM AN ASSHOLE....the cover is perfect, it encapsulates the album title in a photograph....they definitely don't belong to the new acoustic movement...in the next two albums, they get even closer, in my opinion, to classic brit-pop.....

perhaps there will be a song somewhat lacking in vocal range (sometimes decidedly and perhaps intentionally out of tune) but the sounds of the guitars are so expansive that they leave a live audience stunned...to be experienced absolutely live...overwhelming...the album competes for the top spot with "trust us" and "angels and daemons at play"...

With "American Idiot" they sold out... they rode the commercial wave of Michael Moore... just keep shooting at the USA and the critics applaud while it sells at the box office... as proof, there's the new live CD-DVD "Bullet in a Bible"... the title is very clear...

I'm biased... the Arab Strap could even do a cover of "Finizio" (a loser from a thousand Sanremos ago) and I couldn't do without it... however, we are no longer in the November/December autumn of the previous albums... I'd say September/October, when a bit of warmth can still offer summer emotions...
