the most beautiful and exciting thing about kim ki duk is his ability to make "beautiful" anything with any light.......he can frame the gray korean sea ("The Bow".....another masterpiece of few words) and make it poetic like any caribbean-polynesian glimpse.....even the latest one ("Time") is nice although a bit mannered.....
