The Buggles The Age Of Plastic

In recent months, I've been listening a lot to '80s pop... level 42, buggles, duran duran, spandau ballet, talk talk, bananarama, baltimora, kershaw, O.M.D., A-ha, Ultravox, Bronski Beat, etc... it was a fake, plastic, pseudo-electronic world, very melodic and danceable... after the '80s, pop collapsed, quality fell short, and above all, the protagonists disappeared (’90s pop really sucks... boys and girls bands)... or maybe it's my adolescence that has faded away??

I love this movie madly.......it's in the trilogy of my youth (with Rambo and The Great Escape)..........the headless corpse of the mother, the snake, the nymphomaniac witch, the wolves, the fights in the arena, the cult gathering........for me it’s worth 100 stars but, honestly, maybe three are enough!
Brad Anderson The Machinist (L'Uomo Senza Sonno)

Dear "disciple," let there be rock.......sorry, but all my dislike stemmed from your last sentence (and from work troubles!! ).......anyway: nothing is untouchable and unreplicable (the good Duchamp painted two irreverent mustaches on the Mona Lisa).........you'll tell me that nothing changes in the remake, but the color changes (compared to b/w), the non-censorship changes (see Percy’s post), the actors change (compared to the legendary Perkins, etched in every viewer's mind, anyone would have crumbled), the atmosphere changes.....Van Sant might not be to everyone's taste, but he's a valid director.......I see it as a tribute (especially in technique) to the great master Alfred.........haven't you happened to see other remakes of H.? Rear Window? Dial M for Murder? Those are truly commercial.........not Van Sant's Psycho, which proceeds rather slowly (and without the now-faded pathos of the original).........ciao.......

Psycho, the most unique film? And why? Do you think sandwich and good food go hand in hand? Is Van Sant's remake a piece of junk? Have you ever seen it??
