I have the original version with a satin case, bought right when it was released. I don’t have the technical expertise of the reviewer, I just know that this is my favorite work by Autechre, icy, cerebral, yet with truly memorable melodic highlights (among which is a beautiful Eastern-sounding melody, though I can't recall which track it's from). Five stars.

Indeed, "21st Century Schizoid Man" is a more than promising opener; it’s a shame that the rest of the album deflates into muffled sound, gratuitously grandiloquent and with unnecessarily lengthy compositions, leading to a deadly boredom. At times, it feels like listening to the Cugini di Campagna (with a better singer, of course...). Later on, KC did better, but this album is a dud, and I can’t understand how it is so acclaimed. Rating: 2-

For a few years, I followed Autechre, then after "Confield" I thought they had already said everything they needed to say and I lost track of them. This is an ultra-lyophilized album that, however, emanates a certain humanity through simple melodies overshadowed by synthetic rhythms that are off-kilter and/or frantic. Beautiful, but in my opinion, EP7 is even better.

"From a trivial three-way story, one of the most beautiful films in the history of cinema." Indeed, the plot is somewhat clichéd, a soap opera I would say, but the film is masterfully crafted.

Taken and read from the home library (my wife is a fan of Coelho). I don't remember much, but the first part wasn't bad at all; the second, however, did have some contrivances. In the end, I found it much better than "11 Minutes," the other one I read. By the way, I recently discovered that the cheerful and green Slovenia makes it into the world’s top five for suicides...
