Pier Paolo Pasolini I Racconti Di Canterbury

I align myself with those who find it a weak film (like the whole "Trilogy of Life," after all).

A scruffy and mediocre punk, but fortunately Martin Hannett came along and set things right.

I also find the debut a piece of junk, and this an excellent album that somewhat anticipates Math rock. What scares me, however, is that this album is liked by both me and Pirata: snow is forecasted for all of Italy today.
Jane Campion Ritratto Di Signora

Seen at the cinema back then, I think I’ve erased it from memory, but I remember finding it as pleasant as a 10 km line at the Mestre tollbooth on August 15th (before they opened the bypass). I don’t know if rewatching it now would change my mind.
Nine Inch Nails The Downward Spiral

Five years after the synth-pop from the "industrial Max Pezzali" of "Pretty Hate Machine" and five years before the unbearable show-off neo-prog of "The Fragile," we have an excellent halfway point with this TDS, which also benefits from the best vocal performance of our Trentino's career.
Woody Allen To Rome With Love

If it's in the same "irreality-touristic" vein as "Vicky Cristina Barcelona," I think I'll pass without regrets.
Guns'N'Roses Appetite For Destruction

Surely their masterpiece.

I know some of his most famous tracks and I find them excellent, but I’ve never dug deeper, and he is shockingly missing from my music collection. What is certain is that the first time I heard "Underpass," my instinct was to ask the DJ: "but in which Gary Numan album can I find this?"
Throbbing Gristle Second Annual Report: Music from the Death Factory

The "dirty and evil" bible of electronics is equidistant from both the kraut freakettoneries and the cosmic meditations, as well as from the cerebral nature of concrete music, while drawing inspiration from all three. The idea of "Do I Yourself" and rebellion against the system, promised in words by punk, is fully enacted here: from self-production and self-distribution of the medium to questioning the very concept of an album and of a "finished track." But beyond discussions and various musings, this album still "slays" after 35 years and oozes morbidity and malaise throughout its duration, which allows me to forgive the most heinous and reprehensible lyrics of all time (even if this was part of the quest for shock and outrage at any cost programmed by the news). The recent reissue with bonus CD is highly recommended.
