Rammstein Sehnsucht

The sound is sharp and original, the best thing about the album. The songwriting, on the other hand, is quite mediocre as it is for all metal bands.

I’ve only heard it mentioned. Maybe I’ll like it. I’ll take care of it, even though the shopping list is already too long...

By grit and iconoclastic fervor, I meant the crazy improvisations they would do at the beginning of a track from "Live at Pompeii," the title of which I can't recall (maybe "A Saucerful of Secrets"?). By 60s singing, I refer to that chant-like, muffled, and rhythmless way of singing that unfortunately appears in the same piece. I've already listened to "the piper at the gates of dawn," but unfortunately, I was lent a faulty CD, so I couldn't delve deeper into it. It was certainly something else compared to albums like "Meddle." I still need to get it back and listen to it multiple times before forming a judgment; it was a demanding listen.

Judgment on the album: I haven't listened to it, but I saw "Live in Pompei" which features several tracks. I'm not a big fan of Pink Floyd, but at least in these songs there are moments that, if not full of grit and iconoclastic fervor, come close; and anyway, they haven't yet reached the cold, intellectual craftsmanship of the things they did later. I struggle to digest the singing, which follows the soft and languid style that was in fashion in the '60s.

I admit that I’ve never listened to Roxy Music closely, but Antonino91's little critiques are a bit laughable. I don’t understand the aversion to the "non-existent" electronic drums. Can a Pink Floyd fan complain about the use of technology? After all, they were among the first to spend days at synthesizers searching for new sounds and effects! Those were “substantial”? And then the faux-punk look!!!!!! But Roxy Music was active in the first half of the 70s before punk was born! If anything, one could say that the punks had a faux-Roxy Music look. Dear Antonino, you have a good musical knowledge for your age; it’s a shame it’s limited to groups that emerged 35-40 years ago. Have you been locked up in a storage room with your dad’s records, and that’s why you only know those?

Interesting, I've never listened to the album but I remember the singles. Ha! Bogusman, from the discussion I found out that we think very similarly about NIN and Mr. Reznor, it's a shame you didn't chime in on my review of "The Fragile"...

A somewhat overrated album and inferior to Desaparecido, it is nevertheless varied and features excellent tracks like "Gira nel mio cerchio," "Vendetta," "Pierrot e la luna," and "Cane," alongside mediocre ones like "Resta" and "Ferito," and others that are terrible, such as "Cafè, mexcal e rosita." A masterpiece if we consider only the Italian music.
Cocteau Twins Blue Bell Knoll
Voto:
The Cocteau Twins are a fundamental group, even though they haven't really added much to their initial ideas. "Carolyn's Fingers" is still an outstanding track.

Well? All this debate on the Maurizio Costanzo Show for this little record?
It's the first one I listened to by Dream Theatre and also the last.
This album is.... What did Fantozzi say about the "Battleship Potemkin"?
Depeche Mode Songs Of Faith And Devotion

When it was released, I couldn't stand it; I only liked "In your room." Then, a few years ago, it managed to win me over with "I feel you" and "Comdenation," which I couldn't tolerate.
