Franz Ferdinand You Could Have It So Much Better
Voto:
I don't want to be a know-it-all, but just a small clarification: the Beatles had already been buried for a long time thirty years ago...

Thank you for your kind response, my little Antonino. After your comment, I think I will enjoy the singing of the Pink Floyd more and more.

Well done easy, you summarized my feelings and emotions perfectly when I listened to this mess. A truly pompous and cloying album! I wanted to smash the CD, but I couldn't because I had borrowed it ("Listen to them, they are good," they told me...).

The review is a bit too brief, but I basically agree. The Franz are a bit too derivative for my taste, even though I'm a fan of New Wave. Kudos to the anonymous person who mentioned Josef K (I need to write a review for them...). Here: there’s no comparison between a FF album and a JK one...

I listened to it, but it left me utterly indifferent. It feels like a half-hearted experiment, lacking impact and conviction. The single "Tender" then seems like a Christmas song and made me throw my hands up in despair.

But did they dedicate this album to their fans?
Rhapsody Symphony Of Enchanted Lands II - The Dark Secret

Ah! Were these guys Italian? I heard an album years ago, I don't remember if it was this one, and they seemed like a more baroque and orchestral version of Queen (!!).
R.E.M. Out Of Time
Voto:
It was the first album I bought; I was 15 years old. How funny: I bought it for "Shiny Happy People" (which I still like) and not for "Losing My Religion," which I didn't know was by R.E.M. Looking back, I have to say that it's really not that great of an album, and later on, R.E.M. bored me so much that I dropped them after "Monster."
Killing Joke Killing Joke

A fundamental record for sure, even if I don't love it as much as other New Wave albums; "Requiem," for example, is so raw that it borders on being a bit "tacky." The review is good, although I spotted a few instances of plagiarism, perhaps from the Giunti guide on New Wave.

Really good compilation, although I prefer the things he did afterwards.
