Claude Debussy Preludi per pianoforte - Libro 1
Voto:
here's a review that reconciles you with music, congratulations!

I understand the goliardic spirit that the creators of Debaser have. My advice remains to apply a light filter to the reviews; of course, you are the administrators and can do whatever you want.

I wouldn’t invoke democracy but rather talk about freedom of expression. I don’t agree that on this site often vulgar or low-quality texts are published. There are other contexts to say all the nonsense one wants, like the forum, for example. Therefore, regardless of the democratic discourse, the fact remains that if in a newspaper instead of having journalists write, dogs and pigs write, probably after the initial enthusiasm that newspaper will lose its purpose. Now, it's not that we are all seasoned critics here (far from it), but at least it would suffice if everything published didn’t drop below the threshold of decency. The review in question, to be clear, barely touches on that.

On a site where everyone can publish reviews, it's to be expected that there will also be such trivialities, likely due to the young age of the writers. However, what I would like to emphasize is that publishing everything is a policy that will undermine the entire site, at least for the purpose of gathering reviews that are useful to those who want to listen to good music.
Massive Attack 100th Window
Voto:
I agree, it is objectively a lesser album (compared to the two previous masterpieces) in terms of inspiration, experimentation, and quality of the tracks.
AC/DC Ballbreaker

More than a review, it feels like bad advice.
Gentle Giant Gentle Giant
Voto:
A record I found myself holding in stores countless times, drawn in by the hideous cover...and always at bargain prices...I don't know these gentle giants, but I'm happy to learn it's a great album.
The White Stripes Get Behind Me Satan
Voto:
Well... for me, the White Stripes are nothing more than a good commercial phenomenon. I too, reluctantly, couldn’t help but listen to Elephant—a good album, but not the masterpiece that everyone praises. This album hardly left a mark... in short, they are not and will not be the great rock band we are all waiting for...
R.E.M. Monster
R.E.M. Monster

monster is the only attempt by R.E.M. post-'80 to do something outside the box; it didn't fully succeed, but the album is enjoyable and the sound is very nice.
Pino Daniele Iguana Café
Voto:
The worrying and irritating thing about the current Pino Daniele is precisely the way he produces music that is infinitely below his capabilities, while claiming it to be high-level music. The Pino Daniele of Che Dio Ti Benedica or Non Calpestare i fiori del deserto was definitely better, where there was an explicit desire to make pop without pretensions... then he degenerated towards the dismal Come un gelato all'equatore and finally to these so-called committed albums... something indigestible!
