Metallica The Black Album
Voto:
It's the usual problem with metal bands; they write a masterpiece ballad and metalheads ignore it while the rest of the audience praise it...
Pink Floyd The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn

Where would Pink Floyd have reached with Barrett? Sooner or later, Waters's ego would have taken over. Gilmour would have at most been a session musician. The albums that followed would have been even more avant-garde. But I'm not sure we would have a discography on par with the current one. After all, Barrett's solo works show a certain exhaustion of his creative vein. And beyond the human compassion for the man, perhaps it was better this way. This is to say that Barrett enjoyed his myth, and like all myths, he was attributed merits greater than those he actually had. And so this album, beautiful and original, but not a masterpiece.
Franco Battiato L'Arca di Noè

I would have liked to review the album myself and maybe one day I will... as for the rest, I find the introduction sublime: incisive, timely, and precise. The second part is confusing, a bit too "erudite," and reveals very little about the album.
Metallica The Black Album

hmm, I find your interpretation of the album to be accurate; the ratings given to the songs seem quite pointless to me... I'm not a Metallica fan, so I would go so far as to say that their best work came even with LOAD, where they refined the hard rock attitude developed in this album. I am convinced that a black album without Nothing Else Matters practically disappears in the presence of LOAD.

fully agree...the game brought out the Queen and many other bands from the '70s music, introducing it into the mistreated and underrated '80s.
Guns And Roses Use Your Illusion 1&2

this vic smile is getting better, he just mentioned "shit" eight times
U2 How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb
Voto:
I love "a man and a woman" from this album; for the rest, I agree with Domenique...it's just a decent album, enough not to lose the core fan base.

I am convinced that somehow a review should reflect in its terminology the style of the work being reviewed... and after reading your review, I believe that I would have a hard time understanding this album.
Fozzy All That Remains
Voto:
The question remains, who are these Fozzy?... Could they be like the famous minolli?
Genesis Selling England By The Pound
Voto:
Maybe when I bought FOXTROT I was wrong... I should have bought this album first, it was the most acclaimed and there was no reason to buy that other one. Then I fell in love with FOXTROT and I was never able to fully let go of SEBTP, a beautiful record, but in my mind it remains inferior to the predecessor... and I probably am mistaken.
