Franco Battiato L'arca di Noè
Voto:
I believe that replicating La Voce del Padrone was neither possible nor desirable for Battiato.
It's an album with very similar sounds, but darker and more introspective. The problem is that the "minor" tracks on the previous album were a cut above the minor tracks on this one. But, as mentioned, it was not possible to ask Battiato for a carbon copy of an album.
Vasco Rossi Buoni o cattivi
Voto:
Truly unbearable. I used to buy Vasco's albums sight unseen, up until Nessun Pericolo... per te. And even that last one had its flaws, although it sounded amazing... There was still something good in Canzoni per me... then nothing, or almost nothing. Un senso, the last song of his worth mentioning.
Roberto Benigni La vita è bella
Voto:
A very personal but concise review, and one that I find entirely relatable. Life is Beautiful, along with a few others, is among the films I have loved, but can no longer bring myself to watch again. Braveheart, ET, Schindler’s List, some of these. Maybe I really should watch it again.
Sergio Leone Giù La Testa
Voto:
If we want to be pedantic, this isn’t really a western, since it deals with events that took place during the Mexican Revolution. In any case, it’s a great film, like all of Sergio Leone’s works. The soundtrack doesn’t even need to be commented on—sublime.
Gennaro Nunziante BUEN CAMINO
Voto:
Seen just a few days ago. A well-made movie for everyone. Jokes, good feelings, and story in an almost surprising balance for the genre. You can even learn something from it if you watch it with the right attitude.
Dario Fabbri Sotto la pelle del mondo
Voto:
First book review—I've written about twenty on records.
Coldplay Parachutes
Voto:
Let's be honest: Coldplay have never reached the same level as on this debut album. What's more, it was a commercial success even though the best tracks are actually the ones that weren't released as singles. That says a lot about the overall quality of the work. Diciamolo:
Baustelle El Galactico

Baustelle in Italian music play in a different league.
Coldplay Moon Music
Voto:
Perfectly agreed
The Cure Songs Of A Lost World
Voto:
Not a bad debut. A bit of a lengthy review, but it’s easy to read. The Cure aren’t really my cup of tea, even though I follow plenty of artists who are disciples of Smith. I liked the tracks Mixo played on Radio Capital.
