It seems to me that the film Dancer in the Dark predates the proclamation of the ten commandments of the dogma..

Great review, Cleo. Back then, he was one of my favorite albums (and artists). However, I don't agree that without Sakamoto, Sylvian wouldn't have achieved anything. Just remember that he had already released some great solo albums and had been the leader of Japan... and at that time, he was much more famous than Sakamoto in Europe, so perhaps it was the opposite: Sakamoto benefited from Sylvian's career... anyway, I don't quite remember, maybe I’m mistaken. I only have the album on vinyl... I haven't listened to it in years... it's time to fix the turntable!

PS: Rollo is not the rapper, nor is he black! The black rapper is named Maxi Jazz, who is not Dido's blood brother, since Dido's brother is actually Rollo... that's why you get a flat one.

truly a great record, speaking of the Cure, I love the sample of "10:15 Saturday Night" in Man Next Door! I confirm Joser, the voice in Angel sounds like "Orazio-Andrea"...

Well done, Cleo, great idea to review a great band that apparently doesn't get the recognition it deserves. I also only have two works from the band; I will definitely listen to and maybe buy this ciddí.

I agree with the review...and with MrIko: a milestone, "to be listened to from start to finish"...but there's one track I could listen to endlessly for hours: "Crosseyed And Painless"! They made history...I also mention Stop Making Sense, a couple of years ago a new edition was released with a few extra tracks compared to the vinyl.
