Bore, have you read my comments? Narrenschiff: a satirical-moral novel by Brant, later a German literary genre of the Middle Ages, other works: Erasmus of Rotterdam: Praise of Folly and Till Eulenspiegel... I don't know more!

a voice-over suggests to me that "the ship of fools" might be a good metaphor for DeBaser... PS: let’s hope they don’t send us drifting without water and food, or I would die! ;)

Kosmo, sto enkrist is just a jerk, you shouldn't take him literally... it's us who don't (yet) understand his irony! Go read what he wrote about the narrenschiff in the other review: it made me laugh, :D

For your information: the book is called Narrenschiff and it was written by Sebastian Brant (it was indeed illustrated by Wilhelm Bosch): it tells the story of 111 fools, representing all the madness of humankind, who sail on a barge towards Narragonia, which sounds more or less like Foolland...

hahaha but where did you read this thing about the Narrenschiff??? Were the unfortunate people of the country put on boats? As if Germany were all coastline and the Germans all barbarians! Get informed better, dear: the Narrenschiff is a literary genre, nothing like an ancient Sparta practice! It takes its name from a satirical book from the Middle Ages very similar to the Decameron, from which indeed a whole genre was born that can be compared to our commedia dell'arte, that is, to a popular satirical literature...

great album: the best by Goldfrapp... I recently rediscovered it since a track serves as the soundtrack for a lovely film I watched not long ago: "My Summer Of Love"
