Francis... to make a table you need wood, to make wood you need a tree, to cut down a tree you need a saw, to make a saw... you choose, since you know many ways...

My reference to the "KING" was a quote from the philosopher Gibran: "the PEN is A SCEPTER, BUT HOW FEW ARE THE KINGS AMONG WRITERS..." By the way: I thought I already told you that as far as I'm concerned, I consider you better than me, more cultured (in music, mind you, in life you're at a standstill), more of an audience, more handsome, greater, stronger, more likable, more Juventus, more verbose, more prosaic, more amiable, more loved, more loving, more circus-like, more idiosyncratic, finer, more refined, more dashing, more stylish, sweeter, more cerebral, more symmetrical, more synchronous, more of a pilot, more thermotechnical, more hydraulic, more of a masseur, more of a nightclubber, more trendy, more set, more defined, more sculpted, more sculptural, more Italian, more European, more global, more of a footballer, more of a dolphin, more of a missionary, more devout, more pious, more miraculous, more reactionary, more of a multiplier... more of everything, in short. You're everything more than me! From now on, I will refer to you as: JESUS!

But, despite my restraint (I can offend too, you know? It's just that I've been a bit annoyed to do it lately, it's in bad taste), the Dear King of Writers replied to me again: "Critiques must at least be reasoned and polite. Iko, you lack these two qualities." And I wonder: where did I violate politeness towards him? I really think Francis is a bit T.d.C., but I wouldn't dare write it so plainly, because everyone would read it and I’m sure it would annoy him. Between us, Francis is a bit "pumped up" and T.d.C. and maybe even a bit F.d.P., but it’s not right to point that out publicly. It seemed to me, based on his writings, at least the opposite, that he was the "impolite" one. But the New Pirandello continued with a very elegant and well-mannered: "...in comparison to you, I have the nobility and grace of a Roman Emperor... in my opinion Mr. Iko is really a small man, but small small..." Then, how can you not get angry at things like that?

Nick, where did you read an insult from me towards Francis on this page? And, as a counterpoint, did you happen to read any insults from Francis towards me? I don't know, I wrote, "Francis, how the hell can you overlook such an important detail for the record?" (mind you, the importance of that detail is not my assertion, but Bowie himself states it... let's clarify this before we expand the scope of the discussion). To that, he, the king of writers who misuses his scepter, replied: "Iko, you are pathetic. I've humiliated you in your own field, and you just can't admit defeat: you are biased, false, and a liar... Idiot... Ah, ah, I laugh at you, poor thing. Do you realize the nonsense you say to hide..." I don't really care about being called an idiot, but being labeled as false and a liar, especially by someone who's probably ten years younger than me, really pisses me off. So I responded with, "Your way of obscuring Bowie's emotions is a shame. That's why I hold it against you, and since it's unforgivable, I will remind you of it everywhere, without compromise..." Which, all things considered, seems to me well within the bounds of politeness and decency.

This morning I woke up and I was thinking about something regarding Francis, a fixed thought in my mind... I won't write it down, I'll keep it to myself, but He knows what I was thinking about, right Francis?

By the way Francis, I didn't do the classic... and the big difference between you and me is that I also think you're a little shit (it's mutual, right?) but I only think it, got it? I don't write "Francis is a little shit" because everyone would read it and it would be offensive, but I think it: inside me, I think "Francis is a little shit", it is my personal conviction that does not violate any legal norms. Therefore, my personally holding that you are a little shit does not involve anyone reading the review, because I haven't written anywhere that you're a little shit. I just think it. And thinking is not a crime, as of today... And thinking doesn't hurt, actually...

Chinasky: the sentence "...the fact that the latter 'didn't say it's a travel diary' is a detail of such insignificance..." etc., as you've written it makes me understand that you don't know much about this album! Since He, the Duke in person, emphasizes this characteristic every time he talks about Alladin just to explain the type of sounds used, the very 'American' style of composition, the topics addressed in his lyrical reflections etc., it seems to me that this is a point that must be highlighted and written in capital print!... I mean, it's the lens through which to view the entire work...
