I don’t like your review. As I’ve already written, I believe I couldn’t have done better, but I still don’t like it. Can you understand this? Can you accept it? And I’ll explain why I don’t like it: because it’s absolutely pointless! I also have some publications narrating the life and works of Jarrett, I’ve read many reviews of his albums, and above all, I have listened to (and still listen to a lot of) his records! And your review didn’t provide me with any information beyond what I already knew. I would have accepted a review completely abstract from the analysis of the album, a review that was entirely emotional, dreamlike, a lyrical composition that could sing its praises, but DEFINITELY not a review like this for such an album.

You see, dear Ezekie, you’ve stubbornly clung to nothing. As usual (you’re not the first to respond sourly to criticism), it was enough not to post the usual comment filled with "goodness and flattery," like "well done, Eze, great review and great album!" a stereotypical comment that I can hardly bear. You didn’t want to read what I wrote, or you chose to interpret it in a biased way. I’ll pretend (even though I know it’s not true) to have been ambiguous in the previous comment and I’ll write to you again, hoping you’ll get your neural centrifuge going and "want" to understand what I’m saying.

I don't understand why you want to talk about records like this at all costs (see also Revolver)! You're doing it to build a reputation, right? Like: "I'm brave, I listen to the coolest records, it's all about me..."? No, really, I just don't get why there's such a need to bring up certain records. The review could be nice (it could), but what immediately jumps out is that you probably know very little about jazz and listen to it superficially. Look, don't take it personally; I couldn't write more about this record even though I've listened to it at least a hundred times, if not more! The problem is that 1. you can't evoke even a single emotion that comes from listening to this record, you can't represent them; 2. you lack the vocabulary (and perhaps the technical knowledge) necessary for jazz, you don't have the necessary rhetorical skills. It's not personal, but it seems quite clear that your way of talking about jazz is rather flimsy, regardless of the uniqueness of this record that you can only explain by bringing up a few anecdotes. In other words: you talk about jazz with the same adjectives you use for rock and pop! Damn, they are different worlds with different nuances, but reading your reviews, they all seem the same. Not to mention the fact that the quotes (more or less accurate...) you included can be easily found in many other reviews, so yours also lacks originality. Best regards.

Well, actually BAD, I feel offended. You present yourself like this, hiding behind a diplomatic "no offense," which is in itself an offense because you use it to put yourself on a pedestal at a height superior to ours, and then you shove your "god" in my face! I’ve seen Blackmore live and I have quite a few of his records... what can I say: not bad, but nothing compared to Steve Vai. Steve Vai (despite his latest album "Real Illusion: Reflection," which seems a bit weak to me) is a planet in itself. Ritchie Blackmore is on the moon, okay, but he remains just a satellite. He is not a planet...

I wonder if God didn't invent the Beatles just to atone for inventing life. The review sucks, it doesn't say a damn thing about the album and dares to include a phrase like: "More than the overrated Sgt. Pepper..."

Thanks to the Anonymous for the clarification. And thanks also for the one in the report card: it’s clear that the Anonymous in question is very, very good... Best regards, Anonymous! You’re a great Anonymous! I love you, Anonymous! Why aren’t you here to hug me, Anonymous? But, dear Anonymous, stop! This is how Lucifer tempts you, presenting you with luscious apples that you pick and then work for with sweat, breaking the gold one and your ex gives birth in pain.
