King Crimson Larks' Tongues In Aspic

I'm sorry that a review (the contents of which I don't entirely agree with, but I want to say other things now) crafted with great effort and care has been undermined by a series of useless and misleading comments. How many comments, Jamie? Thirty? Maybe more... And to say what? Blaspheming against the world because by smoking your mother's vacuum cleaner bag you ingested some dust mite? You must have fallen off your high chair a lot when you were little (assuming you're grown now). I read in a forum (one of the few relevant to the site lately) whether the "spirit" of De-baser still existed. I posted a comment expressing my distrust in whether we could still discuss music "within" De-Baser. After this review (I've also lost the desire to share my thoughts, especially regarding the fact that this is the best King Crimson album, aside from the first four which were THE King Crimson, while starting from Red it's about Robert Fripp under the collective name King Crimson and the evident superiority of Bill Bruford over Mike Giles or Ian Wallace, which I'm somewhat doubtful about, even though I love Yes), I reinforce my impression that a scorched earth policy is being implemented around these pages... Well, I'm off to admire the photo of vv :))

Well, I don't completely agree, starting from the assumption that "dig it" is a useless song, all the way to the rating. I don't remember what Hal and FSK said about Dig It at the time. But I clearly remember that Hal gave it 5 stars for a reason that I still fully share today. How can you not give 5 stars to The Long and Winding Road or Across the Universe (also check out the Bowie version and the versions in Anthology Three, please)? Another thing that I can't stand is this relentless hate for Phil Spector: are we joking? Do you realize who we’re talking about? Now, I’m well aware that there is a faction of Lennon supporters and the like who criticize some of Spector's decisions, but to label him a murderer... And what if the story about the disagreements over the arrangements isn’t true? Maybe we should approach this with a bit more caution, considering these statements are reported after thirty years...

Dude, you really come across as a strong loser, I haven't found a single one of your comments that doesn't exude a sense of frustration: did you often fall off your high chair when you were little (assuming you actually grew up)? Did your babysitter practice the techniques learned in self-defense class on you? Did they make you smoke the cables of the PlayStation?

For Kosmo: do you know This Heat? Specifically their second album "deceit" which comes after their eponymous masterpiece? Well, the de-electrification of deceit makes me think of the rotten sound of JSBE: whadda ya think 'bout it?

Sdel typo, Andrea, I haven't listened to Extra Width and I was told that the bass was not used until acme. If this is an error, forgive my ignorance. As for Kosmo: I only have fragments of mp3 from Pussy Galore passed on by a friend. I'll do my best. Jee, you're the usual, I'd like to know if you trash other people's reviews too or just mine... Anyway, give JS a listen, it's really ahead. By the way, Jee: cotton swabs should be used with care. Before you lay down on the pillow for some well-deserved rest, remember to take them out of your ears.

Sing to me, O Muse, of the wrath of Achilles, the son of Peleus, that brought countless sorrows to the Achaeans, many souls of heroes to Hades, noble souls carried away.

Well, to be honest, the "poet" and I had a bitter exchange of opinions. The thing is that while I was specifying what I found wrong in his evaluations and why, he tended to respond with arguments like: why should I reply to you? If I answered you, it would mean that you are better than others to whom I don't respond. If I responded in detail, it would mean that I consider you better than those to whom I respond superficially, etc... And the funny thing is that while I patiently urged for a precise answer, he continued to perpetuate arguments of that kind, not realizing that he was wasting more time arguing unnecessarily about his refusals to respond rather than just giving me a precise answer. Moreover, if he didn't want to receive emails, he wouldn't prominently display his address in several places on the pages! Not to mention that when he started using low-level language, I asked him to elevate the discussion and he replied: "italiano non è più la mia prima lingua, se vuoi che ti parli in terza persona scrivimi in inglese"... BUT COME ON…!

Dear Easycure, the fact that you use the review of Kid A as an example to justify yourself, without considering it systematically in the intolerable situation that arose some time ago with the new reviewers who only wrote about RH, makes me realize that you do not read carefully. At all. I repeat, I have absolutely not questioned either your moral qualities nor, even less (and it is far from me to do so) your musical knowledge or your writing skills. What disgusted me is this review, unworthy of such an album and such a band. That is all; I ask you to limit your reply to relevant topics.
