So, in order: 1. Colonel Claypool kicks ass. 2. The area kicks ass. 3. CAZ: The carabinieri found a charred corpse. It seems he was brainless and had a tiny penis. Please send me a text and let me know you're okay. :-))))) 4. Caz you are my favorite reviewer, and I'm not joking. 5. Caz, God said Kung... and Kung Fu! 6. I love AREA and thanks for the CDs you sent me back in the day. 6. Caz, yesterday your girlfriend told me such a funny joke that I almost fell out of bed... Anyway, this review deserves to be framed, printed, and stamped on the face of those who snub AREA. CAZ LEGEND!!!

Yes, in fact my quote is from the first album. Pugliamix's quote is also taken from the first album.

Sorry, but which of you has the "limited" edition, the one with the DVD? My question is: how the HELL do you open it without ruining it? I mean, the two discs can be removed, but how do you flip through the booklet and the internal images? Do you have to tear off the two staples? But by doing that, won't it ruin the cover?

What an album! It still blows me away every time I listen to it... and I've listened to it quite a few times... quite a few! "Listen to this album, it's the bomb... and let’s hope it doesn't blow up in your ass!..." Anyway, "...who gives a damn about Elio? You listen to them at home and don't bother us!..." What a thing! What a thing!
Elliott Smith From A Basement On The Hill

I mean, let me get this straight: two years ago I was talking to you in chat about Elliott Smith and saying, "just so you know, this guy is a massive talent, just so you know, this guy has really listened to The Beatles, just so you know, this guy takes trips like Drake, just so you know..." and nobody cared. And I also told you that XO and Figure 8 are masterpieces. But I was practically ignored! Then the poor Smith goes and slashes his throat twelve, thirteen times, it makes headlines, his name is on everyone's lips, the Beatles cover in American Beauty (I can't remember the title) is played in every MTV segment about his passing and... PUFF! Suddenly he becomes an idol... Tch! (I wasn't addressing Hal)

@ Francis: "...a vice like megalomania is just as pernicious as the vanity of a man governed only by fragments of thoughts and not by the completeness of thought..." But perhaps you had already been told this...

"...David Bowie is not a musician, he is not an actor, and he is not a pop art diva. David Bowie is a state of mind." Thus spoke Mr_Iko.

Ah, just to be clear: "...Anyone who makes music can't help but be influenced by Bowie...." Thus spoke Brian Molko...

Well, everything except that phrase "Bowie, like many others, was his disciple, only much luckier and more calculating" from Zaireeka, which really bothers me. I would like to counter with a phrase I posted a long time ago in another forum: "...And there will always be someone who accuses Bowie of exploiting other people's ideas. The most integralist Glam Rock lovers will continue to proclaim their preference for Marc Bolan, supporters of electronic minimalism will turn to Kraftwerk, soul fans will scoff at Young Americans, and Prodigy fans won't have time to listen to Earthling..." - David Bowie, The Encyclopedia by Nicholas Pegg. "...In response to these words, I quote Brian Eno: Some allow themselves to say that Bowie is all superficial style and second-hand ideas, a vampire of styles, but those same people do not understand that this is the definition of pop music itself in general. It’s a popular art, therefore by definition it is public domain. If you are looking for music that comes directly from God, you should not look for it in pop music... The point is that critics change, the super-professionals of TALKING music change, but Bowie is always there..."
