one of the most beautiful gigs at debaser! really, congratulations....
Can he be considered the greatest living guitarist? For me, he is... with Dire Straits it was a whole other thing... his solo work seems bland to me.

"He was the archetype of the rock bassist, the one who first understood that the strange gadget invented by one Leo Fender could carry an entire band, could stop considering the bassist as 'the fat and stupid guy in the group' and elevate him to hero status. At least three generations of bassists have recognized 'The Ox' – such was his nickname – as their undisputed master, and he, always smiling, always open to every kind of human and musical experience, did his utmost to repay the trust that both young and old placed in him. He was certainly less cultured and charismatic than McCartney, surely more innovative and unbridled than Wyman; had he been born ten years later, he would probably have rivaled Pastorius in redefining the bass as a solo instrument. Instead, he always remained in his place, gentle and almost out of place in a band of wild lunatics like The Who."

I tried to make you understand why I ā€œshotā€ as you say... anyway, thanks for the explanations about Jaco!
No... I won’t Google the dots... I’ll go straight to my cousin and 1) I’ll break his teeth because he didn’t properly introduce me to Jaco 2) I’ll get the best of Jaco 3) while he goes to get Jaco’s record from the living room, I’ll steal something nice from the CD shelves in his room!
What do you recommend?
Thanks again
Bye bye

dots... I don't play bass... but I hang out with people who have been doing it for 20 years! These fucking people taught me that John Entwistle was the first bassist who seamlessly integrated into a band to provide support... so everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, all the rock bassists of the following years took inspiration from him. So I didn't just say that for the sake of saying it! These fucking people also taught me about Manring... well, there's not much to say, he's a great one... the problem is that this fucking people didn’t teach me Manring's teacher... I don’t know why... maybe because he annoyed them... maybe... the fact is that I only know a few pieces by Pastorius and I know his reputation, but I don’t trust fame... (even Santana should be the greatest guitarist according to "the legend") so I threw out my opinion! Regarding Flea... well, he has talent, and I really like the genre... I like Blood Sugar Sex Magik... I like the Chili Peppers... so he fits into my sphere of "affection" (a bad thing... what can I do?).

And anyway, right now the best is Flea... along with Michael Manring! GREAT!
