Even the previous albums are beautiful, but going from an excellent rating to a terrible one is something that needs to be considered a bit... that's all.

But goddamn!!!! how much you piss me off...this is really a great album, but you don't really listen to it...Dimmu have completely nailed it again with this record. All their fundamental characteristics are there...yet there’s always someone who, as a principle, when listening to a new release from a big band like this, thinks they can show off by trashing it. Ok, maybe, dear Attila 90, you preferred Stormblast and that kind of sound...but giving a 2, a 2 to such an album!!!! It's like someone who, in the discussion about Master of Puppets, kept stubbornly rating it a 2 (!) because they liked Kill 'Em All more...

Well, the genre I mentioned is the one that most often gets framed... many times even in metal bands that can't get more metal, you come across tracks that are more rock, more melodic; it’s a blurry boundary...

So: I have nothing against guitar solos, nor against classical music, in fact I also enjoy Luca Turilli's style, which at times recalls following classical violin scores... nor do I have anything in particular against power metal. What I hold against this great guitarist is that someone with that technique and musical culture shouldn't just limit themselves to putting solos (as elaborate and shot up to a thousand as they may be) over such a predictable power metal backdrop. They should delve a bit more into the structure of the pieces, enriching them through a lyrical approach to the structure rather than mere ornamentation (random architectural pearls...). But then again, if he considers himself baroque...
