I don’t understand why these would be the reasons that lead you to rate an album of this caliber with almost the worst score... first you differentiate between rock and metal, then you judge completely different bands from a musical standpoint in a totally opposite manner, as if they were part of the same melting pot, the same music scene, had the same influences... don’t you see that as a contradiction? You need to make peace with your brain... Then you didn’t answer me... From what perspective is metal a downgrade compared to rock (which is rather an evolution of it)?

A revolution is something different, in my opinion... here we are not talking about the "nu-metal phenomenon," which, like it or not, represented a true revolution, because, having been largely mainstreamed by MTV, it brought to a massive audience sounds, distortions, "roughness," that a significant part of this audience had never encountered before. Or they had heard about them but carefully avoided them because no television or VJ had yet instilled the concept that THAT was real heavy music, new, alternative, Original... then nu came along...
HERE WE ARE TALKING ABOUT A UNIQUE GROUP (thankfully) THAT DID NOT SPARK ANYTHING... The Metallica were a revolution, so were Celtic Frost, Mayhem, and so was the NWOBHM...

No, well... you shouldn't generalize too much, right? There are fully metal groups that have had and still have enormous commercial success (lucky them...) but it's not like they're very appealing or that they attract much attention... they're simply talented... take Children of Bodom for example (even though I've heard from friends that the singer is liked).
As for Linkin Park: you can't consider them in the "metal realm" because THEY don't play metal, THEY're not metalheads, but above all because their "target audience" is dumb kids and horny teenage girls who would cheer for any handsome jerk who stood in front of them... so THEY're not metalheads; they're the ridiculous POP answer to metal.

Because, from what point of view is Metal a "lowering" compared to Rock?... From a historical perspective, perhaps, but give it a break... after all, Rock has been around for about 70 years, Metal for 40, so... and really, wash your mouth out before giving a 2 to such an album... a 2, can we really understand? A 2!!!!!!!!...

I love Satyricon even just for Nemesis... but how does this compare to "The Shadowthrone"? Because that one is a masterpiece, in my opinion...

But of course, I have fun too, and I consider myself, if not a fan, at least a great admirer of this band, even though I don't take their attitudes seriously... :-)

But even Behemoth don't really fit with LP from a musical genre perspective... What bothers me is not that someone likes them... even Gigi D'Alessio is liked by a lot of people... it's this current of idiots with a guitar in hand pretending to be rockers, or worse, metallers, and all the people who keep falling for it... "LP are the best!!!!" but why? in what way? What’s the sensational riff that makes you consider them that way? Or the solo? Or the arrangement?

Then the bands with quirks to mock are so many that if we were to act all huffy every minute, we wouldn't hear anything anymore...

I just want to point out to Arpayon that the Nanowar are already ironic about themselves... so there's no need to take them further ironically... in fact, by laughing WITH them, you actually take them seriously. On the other hand, laughing AT them, that is, taking them ironically, would mean making fun of a parody... which is pointless!!! That said, taking the Manowar ironically also means making fun of them a bit, as we know how to do and you apparently don’t. Also, one should know something in all its aspects to make fun of it properly; otherwise, we risk falling into the Bagaglino-style... So it is the duty of every good metalhead not to take themselves too seriously, and not to take their idols too seriously either, but those observing from the outside should refrain, please, from shooting randomly at legendary bands...

Let's laugh about it, come on, have a laugh every now and then, guys, for goodness' sake... you really seem to take it too seriously just because these guys dress in their studded leather thongs like Conan. I really don't understand your criticisms... Listen to their music!!!!! If you don't even like that, then let's stop with the pointless criticism, okay? And it's true, they are one of the bands that care the most about their fans overall... that seems positive to me when judging them as people, right?
