They should be listened to because they are a piece of non-negligible importance in the development (decline??) of rock, the themes are the usual ones concerning improbable takeovers of the system's authorities and technique... could they have learned to play before recording???

I don't agree at all that they have "copied everything": if we put it that way, then AC/DC shouldn't be listened to just because Deep Purple dedicated themselves to Hard Rock before them, and neither should Oasis because they borrowed from the Beatles' style. I believe that Jet are something both innovative and classic at the same time.
