I correct the initial mistake: the difference lies in the deep lyrics and the music.

No puntinicazpuntini, you’re not completely there because you made a speech with no head or tail..... the difference lies in the head, in the music and in the deep lyrics, things that Vasco has in his songs!!! The music is created by musicians who are top-notch, the lyrics are profound, just look at "Sally!" Vasco creates simple music that hits you in the gut... music that, with a few simple words, makes you realize that what he says is true (think of “La fine del millennio,” “Muoviti,” “Mi si escludeva”)!! Don’t judge if you don’t know the lyrics and the songs!! You cling to foreign music as if that’s the only music that exists..... and the funny thing is you only manage to understand about 10% of what they say..... and then you judge...... come on!! Isn’t it like that, dear puntinicaz puntini?? What do you say, isn’t this a discussion worth thoroughly dissecting??? Are you with me??? I also listen to foreign music and I like it, but I don’t limit myself to that alone..... we have our own authors who express the same ideas as those abroad, they just sing them in Italian..... do you realize this?? And then the voice.... Liam Gallagher from Oasis has an awful voice, but he makes rock or Britpop, call it what you want, and he’s hugely successful because for the music he makes, that voice is perfect (and I think Oasis is terrible)!! The same goes for Vasco... can you imagine "Siamo solo noi" sung by Baglioni?? Or "Bollicine" sung by Zucchero?? Come on.......

The fact that good music becomes mainstream doesn't mean that all mainstream music is good music... it's different! Songs by R.E.M. have become hugely popular because they are great songs, while songs by Blue became popular because kids listen to them and they are trendy for a certain period... the difference is that R.E.M. songs stay in your mind because they are great pieces, while the "songs" by Blue you forget after a month because they are just crap that doesn't convey anything to you... I think we all agree on this.

Maybe I was wrong to define the music of lesser-known artists as crap, also because I too know and listen to lesser-known bands like Aphex Twin... But Giorgio, you have to understand that when music becomes mainstream, as you define it, it's because it's good music, not because it's pop or commercial... I understand Italian perfectly well, and in Italian, I've tried many times to make you understand that I'm fine with you not liking Vasco, but it's absurd for you to say that he hasn't given anything to our music!! As for R.E.M., Nirvana, Blur, and all the rest, these are great bands that have made music history, and nothing can be said against them... As I've already mentioned, I also listen to lesser-known music, but that doesn't lead me to say I have a refined ear!!! The fact that I rated this album, Norma, with a 5 is normal because I like Vasco, and anyway, we are talking about an artist who has made waves in Italy, provoking everything and everyone... Whether you like it or not, that's how it is... Then if you come to me with the argument that there are many Italian bands that can't emerge because Vasco overshadows them, that's ridiculous because these smaller bands are cut off from the market of Tiziano Ferro and company... It's certainly not Vasco who cuts them out since he is a well-established artist and definitely doesn't need to fight with other musicians to sell an album... I hope I made my point clear!! Bye bye.

Anyway, insults aside, everyone listens to what they want and certainly doesn't have to answer to anyone... I will try to download the songs from these bands you mentioned to see if I like them or not... I'll let you know...

Giorgio, your grandiose outings as a gentleman in the style of an English baronet only enhance the idea I've formed of you! An ignorant number one who can barely string two words together... your snobbery would make even the British royal family want to vomit! The world needs people like me who bring down the pretentious, because we need to try to lift up scum like you! You make me laugh when you throw mud at people like REM and Nirvana, because you’re the only ones who do it! You could be a comedian! You write one ridiculous thing after another without realizing it! Bravo, Giorgio, live in your world—it’s for the best...

Yes, mass music... blessed are you who stand out from the crowd... you are the blessed of God!!! Do you feel kissà ke (the k's I put wherever the hell I want because I feel like it and you certainly don't have to tell me)! Giorgio, can you read??? I asked you a ton of questions you never managed to answer!!! You listen to music for a few chosen ones according to you, but don’t you realize that you listen to it only because it’s crap!!!! You come to tell me that REM, Nirvana, etc. are MTV music!! Damn, the whole world recognizes their great value and you great music connoisseurs judge it as mass music... then Giorgio, maybe you don’t know what it means to argue... well, you’ve already proven several times that you don’t understand Italian.... I agree with what Antimo wrote! Where it’s said that rhymed lines are always the most beautiful... so according to this system, Gemelli Diversi should be great authors! Giorgio, I am then astonished by your inability to write anything, not even random things! You remind me of, you know who?? Ah.... NOBODY.

Giorgio, my musical tastes aren't limited to Vasco; they extend to REM, Nirvana, Radiohead, some old hits from U2, a few songs by Coldplay, and so on... As you can see, I'm answering your questions. I don't do what you do, which is answering one question with another question... I also listen to a lot of music, in fact, an enormous amount, and I don't boast about it because I don’t need to... I keep defending Vasco fiercely because I like his songs... and I don’t engage in your arguments because you’ve never really argued your point... I've always answered your questions, explaining the meanings of the songs! Here, it's you who doesn’t delve into the merits of others' arguments, sticking to your ideas without admitting that there is a great Italian singer-songwriter who has contributed a lot to Italian music! As you can see, I've still responded with reasoning!! Please, Giorgio, answer my questions instead of responding with other questions like children do when they’re afraid to answer!!!

Of course, Giorgio, the fact that I keep responding to you by explaining everything shows my immaturity... but what does it show when you, instead of arguing, seek a way out??? Your ignorance? Or your difficulties in understanding things??? Or perhaps the difficulty in knowing how to respond?? Argue instead of looking for escapes!!

you are the epitome of fussiness, Giorgio... the musician writes what he wants... he doesn't have to answer to anyone... he expresses his own emotions... if they resonate with the audience, great; if not, tough luck!!!! I go all out, if it resonates, it means the audience identifies with this song... the artist doesn't have to answer to anyone.... he shouldn't care about what people might say about his songs... he needs to vent his own emotions, not those of others; otherwise, he wouldn't be called an artist, musician, singer-songwriter, but a PUPPET....... don't keep climbing up the spekki, I mean mirrors, so you understand!!!!!!!!
