Bob Dylan Blonde on Blonde

Yesterday I read for free in a bookstore that in 2003 a version of Blonde on Blonde was released on a single CD. I read that they cut various parts of Sad eyed ladies on the lawnlands to fit everything in. Is that true? So is my version this one? Damn, that’s not fair. A double album should stay double. It's like cutting a piece of the Mona Lisa just because it doesn’t fit on the wall. DAMN IT! I’M REALLY PISSED OFF!!!!

Curiosity: the beautiful Queen Jane approximately was included in the soundtrack of the great film by Bertolucci, The Dreamers. I believe you are mistaken about one thing: the translation of Desolation Row was done by our De Gregori, who granted it to Faber in '74 (who published it in Canzoni) because during that time (1974-75) the two collaborated a lot. It is said that Bob congratulated Fabrizio both for the interpretation and for the translation (years later) of another one of his songs, Romance in Durango. Bob often invited De André to his concerts, but perhaps out of shyness, he never accepted, not even to meet him. Long live the songwriters!

Like a Rolling Stone is one of the most important and beautiful songs of all time. The album is stunning and I would rank it on par with Blood on the Tracks and The Freewheelin'.

I had to review this masterpiece... I was mentally preparing myself... Anyway, great review, complete of an unbeatable masterpiece, much better than Desire, characterized by catchier choruses and melodies but of lesser value. Blood on the Tracks is my favorite album along with Sandinista! by The Clash... I know it has nothing to do with it but that's how it is!
