Cephalic Carnage Conforming To Abnormality
Voto:
Scary album even though they reached their peak with Lucid Interval, still a great band and excellent review.

uhm, review so-so, you could have done better :), the album is fabulous instead, a masterpiece of post-thrash absolutely.

Come on... it's a nice album, too bad that after a while the solos get tiresome, I'd say a 3.5. The review is nice too.

Good job, great fun and explanatory review, unfortunately I haven't been able to listen to the album yet.

eheh Tepes have changed a lot with their latest album; I don't know if you've heard it yet, but if the answer is no, I recommend you give it a listen. They have become war machines too :)

Okay, I’m coming too. In my humble opinion, this is one of the best brutal albums of all time, following a somewhat uninspired album like "Infesting The Exhumed" (it might be the terrible production, but after two tracks that album bored me to death) and bridging to the latest "Purity Through Dismemberment," a fantastic album even if not as good as the previous one. I agree with Tepes' opinions about the drummer; he's a monster. Just listen to what he does on "Used, Abused and Left For The Dead" by Lividity, another great album and probably one of the best confirmations of 2006. On the other hand, in my opinion, "Essence Of Brutality" by Domination Through Impurity should be avoided. The ultra-triggered drums are disgusting... well, whatever.

In the end, you're right about tastes even if, for me, it's not up for debate. A group that doesn't propose anything new can't create a masterpiece, but these are just personal considerations.

Well, for the guitars I can agree with you, but not for the rest. Torture Killer is a Finnish band that had already released a debut album (In the meantime, this album represents the first step of a band that will likely become one of the best in the global death metal scene). Recently, Chris Barnes offered to be the vocalist for the group, but the band was never conceived as an alternative project of the Six Feet Under singer.
