Well... for me, death was also born thanks to other influences, especially those thrash bands like Slayer and the forgotten yet great Possessed. It's true that brutal has grindcore influences, but instead of listening to Napalm Death or modern groups like Pig Destroyer, I listen to Carcass. They are indeed great; they were both pioneers of grindcore, masters of death, and founders of melodic death. Moreover, their music, even the most violent, is always very enjoyable.
