Well, easy, in fact I said that in the prog there have always been displays of virtuosity in DT, but their "show-off" is the fusion between "prog" virtuosity and metal. In "classic" progressive, elements like time changes, odd meters, different rhythms for each instrument, solos different for each instrument, etc., have always been present. I see in DT the continuous and natural evolution of that. Then, OBVIOUSLY, hyper-technicality has to appeal to you to appreciate this band. As for creativity, well... I know you disagree; that was clear! XD This album is full of references, no doubt, but while I find it enjoyable, you find it ridiculous. Here we agree; however, as for the other albums (the first 3 and Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence specifically), I find them very creative, not at all trivial. And I assure you that there are plenty of prog metal bands that tire me because they're too technical or too repetitive, often praised for their technique, like Symphony X and Andromeda, because it’s a musical genre where it’s very easy to fall into monotony. As for Adriano Bernard, the DT convey emotions to me. Points of view, of course. :)

Dave, honestly, just forget it. I listed groups that I believe are better in terms of technique, attitude, and creativity. I mentioned groups with historical significance in their genre, whether you like them or not. I can't give you more than 14 due to your childish way of writing and behaving.
