Ugh, what the hell do these criticisms mean? The Rush have released 3 DVDs in 3 years, but that doesn't mean they should be judged negatively. The Dream Theater, just like the Rush, give their fans what they want. This concert is absolutely amazing, the best live performance by Dream ever, and, in general, one of the most beautiful live shows I've ever seen.

50% of the people who talk trash about Dream Theater do so without any understanding, you can tell by what they say. Too many things are undeniable: they have style, they have class, they know how to play, and they know how to evoke emotions. I've changed the minds of many prejudiced people simply by having them listen to their music; it doesn't mean everyone will like them, and in that case, a "Very good, but I don't like them" is much more welcome than a "What crap, they suck." The review is nice, but you could have done better. We've reached the top 20, and now we want to see what comes next.

I listened to it a bit and I must say I liked it, but I’m not ready to vote for it yet. It’s definitely an album that sounds much more prog and less heavy than the last albums. And finally, a CD where, while listening to the songs, you’re not confused with some other old glory! ;) Very nice review. Well done.

I downloaded it and burned it for a friend, I happened to hear a couple of songs. I must say frankly that it’s nothing special, but it’s really much better than a lot of crap that plays on the radio... too bad these young "artists" only go where they smell money. Mediocre reviews, it does a track by track too roughly and says little.

You should have a 1 because it's yet another review of this album, a 5 because you know all these facts, the objective rating would be a 3 and 1/2, but since we're talking about Dream Theater, I’ll give you a 4, especially because you mention that damned genius Neal Morse ;). As for the album, I wouldn't know what else to say, it's the manifesto of Progressive Metal, for better or for worse. Ps: Dream Theater can be likened to Rush because they are fundamentally an evolution in metal of what the magical trio has done in its 30 years of activity. They are the grandparents of Prog Metal XD

Great review, well written but it could be improved, although when talking about the folklore of the northern countries in these terms, of hymns to evil, vampires, and black magic... should we imagine them all as a bunch of satanists? :) 3 and 1/2
